It’s been pretty busy around here- and I’m not just talking about parasite season! PAH has been getting ready to have our inspection with the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA)! Our inspection took place May 1, 2018. PAH is AAHA-Accredited, this means that we choose to be evaluated on over 900 standards of veterinary care. PAH and our Wellness Clinics are inspected by members of AAHA every three years to ensure that we are living up to their high standards of cleanliness, pain management, anesthetic care, health and safety, client service and that we meet their requirements for continuing education- just to name a few.
PAH has been Accredited by AAHA since 1983. Our AAHA-Accreditation is so important to us, especially since we were awarded AAHA-Accredited Practice of the Year in 2016. Accreditation is a voluntary process that encourages us to live up to a higher standard of vet medicine. Our team members were so excited for our inspection and we were crossing our T’s and dotting our I’s. For some team members, this is their first AAHA inspection they have participated in, while others have become seasoned professionals at preparing for AAHA.
The old saying goes that it “takes a village,” and the same is true when it comes to how PAH was preparing. Each team member was helping in their own way to ensure that we showed AAHA just how passionate we are about veterinary medicine and how important meeting their standards is to all of us. Choosing AAHA to us means that we choose to continue to grow, to support our patients and clients, and to never be ordinary.
We are so excited to announce that we passed our AAHA inspection! We will retain our accreditation for another three years! We are so proud to have received such great feedback from AAHA, and to continue to live up to their standards and serve our clients and the community in the best way possible. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
