Dog running in the field
For information call Ivale Brown at (613) 735-3628.

These classes introduce a new, motivating style of competition. It combines the requirements for obedience with the course concept of agility. Rally is less formal than obedience with less emphasis on precision and more on the dog’s attitude. You progress in natural stages through the levels. Praise is allowed throughout the competition and food reinforcement is allowed atthe introductory levels.

The skills required for this class are:
  • Walking in a controlled fashion on leash
  • Recall in a controlled environment
  • Stays at a moderate distance for about 20 seconds
Rally has a set of signs which indicate the exercises required on course. The participants will gain familiarity with these. The skills that pertain to them will be taught and practiced. Miniature courses will be set up so that the handler and dog will get practice putting the exercises together in the manner they could appear in competition. You’ll have fun with your dog and develop your teamwork!
