Laser Therapy for Pets

A form of rehabilitation therapy that can safely and effectively stimulate healing and reduce pain.

Laser therapy is a very exciting advancement in modern veterinary medicine. It is a painless and non-invasive procedure that harnesses photons (light) to improve cell health, reduce inflammation, stimulate blood flow, and release endorphins (the body’s natural painkiller). We provide our patients with state-of-the-art laser therapy.

When is laser therapy recommended?

Therapeutic laser is incredibly useful for the following conditions:

  • Post-surgical care
  • Arthritic treatment
  • Pain management
  • Injury treatment
  • Ear infections
  • Cellulitis
  • Hair loss
  • Kidney stones

Is laser therapy safe?

The treatment is completely safe for cats and dogs. The patient doesn’t require any sedation or anesthesia as they usually react well to the treatment. As the light reaches the cellular level your loyal companion will relax as they begin to feel relief. As a precaution, we provide eyewear to protect their eyes from the light.

How many sessions of treatment will my cat or dog need?

Depending on their condition the veterinarian will determine how many sessions are needed. Generally, it takes anywhere from 3 to 8 treatments for the patient to truly benefit from therapeutic laser treatment. Each session can last for about 15 minutes.
